Estimates That Look Like a Business

Most small business quotes go out as a Word file with the logo dropped in a corner and the margins slightly off.

We'll set up letterhead, a matching estimate sheet, and an envelope. Plus a template you can actually type into.

Design time

$45-250

20-minute minimum. Letterhead and a matching estimate sheet usually run an hour or two.

Usually one sitting

We can run the revisions live while you watch.

Two kinds of file

A print-ready PDF, and an editable template you fill in yourself.

The problem

The Quote Is the Part They Keep

A homeowner collects three estimates for the same job. Two of them arrive as a Word document with a logo pasted at the top and a phone number in Calibri. One arrives on a properly set sheet.

All three prices are within a few hundred dollars of each other. The one that looks considered gets read first, and the other two get compared against it.

What you get

Letterhead, first page and continuation page
A matching estimate or invoice sheet
A Word or Google Docs template with the layout locked and the text open
A print-ready PDF, if you want the real thing
A #10 envelope layout
Margins that leave room for a window envelope

Who bills you

We Design It. Your Printer Prints It.

You get print-ready files. Take them to any printer you want.

Two separate bills.

  • You pay us for the design time. That's the $45 to $250 on this page.
  • Your printer bills you for the physical paper, at whatever they charge.

Only ever emailing PDFs? Then there's no second bill at all.

What to send

What to Send Us

Four things, and one decision.

  • The paper size

US Letter for almost everyone. If you send documents to Canada or Europe, say so, because A4 is a different shape and it changes the layout.

  • Your logo

Vector if you have it. Letterhead prints it small, which is forgiving, but the envelope is not.

  • Everything that goes in the footer

Address, phone, email, website, and your license or registration number if your trade has to put one on documents.

  • Whether you're printing it

Tell us if you only ever email PDFs. A sheet built for a press and a sheet built for a screen are set up differently, and it's easier to pick one at the start.

What This Costs

Design time, billed by the clock. The minimum is 20 minutes.

  • Minimum

    $45

20 minutes. Letterhead on its own, built from a logo you already have.

  • Letterhead and estimate sheet

    $125-250

One to two hours. Both documents, an envelope, and a template you can type into.

  • Each revision round

    10-20 min

    Added to your time.

  • Hourly rate

    $125/hr

    Our standard design rate.

Most people order this next to business cards. The setup overlaps, so the second piece takes less time than the first one did.

It's the Document They Show Their Spouse

Estimates rarely get decided on the spot. They go home, land on a kitchen table, and get looked at again that evening alongside two others.

You aren't in the room for that conversation. The sheet is.

Make it the one that looks like it came from a real company.

That and your footer details are most of what we need to start.

We'll come back with an estimate in hours and what that works out to. No setup fee.

US Letter for almost everyone. A4 if you send documents outside North America.

If you're only emailing PDFs, put "not printing" and we'll adjust the setup.

No setup fee. No obligation.

Letterhead Questions

Do you print it?
No. We design it and hand you print-ready files. Any print shop can run them, and you pay that shop directly for the paper.
Can I type into it myself?
Yes. That's what the template is for. You get a Word or Google Docs file with the layout already built, so you replace the text and everything stays where it should. A quote takes two minutes instead of twenty.
Do I need printed letterhead at all?
Plenty of businesses never print a sheet and only email PDFs. Say so up front and we'll build it for the screen instead of for a press.
What about invoices?
Same job. An invoice sheet is letterhead with a table on it. Tell us which fields you need and we'll build them in.
Can you match my business cards?
Yes, and doing both at once costs less than doing them months apart, because the setup is already open on the screen.
Will it work with window envelopes?
If you tell us up front, yes. The address block has to sit in a specific place, and it's a small change before we start and a redo afterwards.
Do I have to be a website client?
No. Anyone can order design work. There's no setup fee and nothing else to buy.

Ready when you are.

Send your logo and footer details. We'll come back with an estimate.
